The Unlimited Reiki System of Natural Healing, or
Reiki for short
The unlimited reiki system of natural heaaling flows like water.
Strong, yet (in most cases) gentle.
Although you may be looking for the "unlimited reiki system of natural
healing", that's not really the name. For that matter, the name "Reiki"
wasn't even in the very original name, either.
The original name for what we call "Reiki" is "The Usui system of
naturalhHealing". This has undergone some memetic mutation over the
years (think of the "telephone" game from elementary school), and so
you have different words and names for the same thing.
Reiki in the modern context was developed and taught at first
by Dr. Mikao Usui (or Usui Mikao to use the Japanese format for names).
His journey started with wanting to know how the various miracles of
healing found in history were done.
What's surprising and refreshing about this is that he accepted the
evidence as put forth instead of instantly trying to argue it into
non-existence. This kind of willingness to look inside get your
own answers instead of relying on others is a powerful trait and no
doubt one that served him well on his journey.
The details of how he acquired or developed the healing techniques we
call Reiki today are lost to history. He had a Buddhist background, but
lived and worked with Christians extensively. Looking at Reiki, it is
certainly a spiritual practice, but seems to be neutral in terms of
doctrine or belief patterns; There are Reiki practitioners of
practically every religious creed.
The unlimited Reiki system of natural healing (or Usui system of natural
healing) is named very very well: It is a system of natural healing. Reiki
work supports the body and spirit, infusing strength and wellbeing,
without being invasive or disruptive. The recipient heals themselves,
and the practitioner provides support and aid. The aid comes from the
limitless supply of the Source (apply your own lable for this Higher
Power here), hence the word "unlimited".
I could go into the stories of Dr. Usui on the mountain, but others
relate that story better. How he developed or acquired the system is
less important than the fact that he did, and the open state of awareness needed to acquire such knowledge.
If you decide to give Reiki a try, either as a recipient or as a
practitioner, you're making a good choice. Let your heart guide you and
don't let your desires or anxieties muddle the message.
