Self Esteem Affirmations: Don't Underestimate Them.
One simple yet overlooked technique for healing are self-esteem affirmations. I'm not
kidding. Self-esteem and self-respect are two very important things to
have to live a healthy life. Here I will explain my reasoning about why
it's important. Then, I'll share some of my experiences. Lastly, I'll
give you some starters to work with.
Look at your hand. Now look at your index finger. Now look at your
fingertip. Where you see a fingertip, there are millions of tiny little
lives, each one being born, living, and dying generation after
Now, look at the whole finger. Look at the hand, the arm the upper
body, the torso, and the entire body.
Your body is a self-contained universe (See the video below). Your
cells number in the trillions. Entire ecosystems live within your body,
and permeating all off it is a central guiding intelligence. You.
For you to feel bad about yourself, and especially your body, is to
turn your back on them. They are counting on you to lead them with a
strong and happy consciousness just as you count on your body to help
you interact with the world.
Self esteem affirmations are a good tool to use to make "course
corrections" in the direction your mind takes. They aren't exactly a
"quick fix" as such; typically you don't say a few words and life is
instantly better (although it has happened).
Usually, it's more like sailing a ship and you turn just a few degrees.
Not much happens at first, but then over time those few degrees show a
massive change. It can mean the difference between reaching your
destination and being lost at sea.
My Experience with Self Esteem Affirmations. Years ago, I was in a rut of self-destructive mental patterns that was
keeping me in a bad situation. I knew I could get out of my situation
if I could unlock it. I had done research on technological ways of
enhancing and working with the mind. One of them was working with
affirmations and self-esteem
affirmations in particular.
I developed a list of affirmations to use, and did various things with
them, most of which didn't work. One disaster in particular is worth
relating because of an important lesson:
I had developed my do-it-yourself subliminal recordings based on my
affirmations. Nothing fancy; if it had been a physical construction be
assured that there would have been duct tape and chewing gum
First, I recorded my self-esteem affirmations. Then I created a
binaural track to go with it. Lastly, I selected some ambient music. I
played all three at varying volumes to create a good sleep track.
Binaural tones are an effective tool, but only a tool. They gently
guide the brain to the alpha state (and deeper) which is ideal for
hypnosis and meditation.
My knowledge of binaural technology really helped me out in the long
run, but it's best to leave it to the experts. Used right, they are
incredible. For example, the Higher
Balance meditation music uses binaural technology to great effect.
One little problem, however. When I recorded them, I recorded them in
the second person (You are capable, you are aware...) instead of the
first person (I am capable, I am aware...).
This presented me with some rather tormented dreams. Everyone around me
was having their dreams come true while I stayed stagnant and sunk down
further. Not exactly restful sleep material.
After a couple of days, I figured it out. Once I got that corrected, I
was in better shape.
Second person can work if you can look yourself in the eye in the
mirror. If you can, do that. But don't fake it. Otherwise, stick with
the first person.
If you can't keep your own gaze, then you really need to gain your own
esteem and trust.

Also, remember the basic rule and keep it positive. This can actually
be pretty tricky. Trying to affirm perfection may sound like a good
idea, but perfection is a pursuit, not something you can say you have,
aside from being perfectly human.
Also, remember that even though you will still have some negative
thoughts about yourself and the world, your self-esteem affirmations
are stronger. Intention and emotion are what drives it. Thinking
negative things has some emotion, but it robs you of intention.
Affirmation uses both. It is you stepping up and saying "This is what

Other things you can do is to merge your affirmations with EFT. This is
