Reiki Crystal Healing - Using Crystals in Your Reiki Work.

If you've read the page on crystal energy healing then you have an idea for Reiki crystal healing already. The basic principles are the same, but the Reiki puts a bit of a twist on things.

The nature of Reiki makes directing the healing a bit different, as it operates with its own intelligence. It responds to intention but it is something that goes through you, not from you.

Therefore, when you are "charging up" your mineral of choice, you want to keep your senses open for when you feel the stone or crystal responding with the Reiki energy. How you perceive this is up to you. You can perceive it as a glow, hear it like a " singing bowl" or wineglass hum. It may seem warm, or vibrating, or you may simply "know" that your stone or crystal has soaked up the Reiki energy.

From here you would keep it standing by for use. Anything you would do with Reiki energy, you can do with the crystal.

Cleansing an area, working with someone directly, distance Reiki - you can boost these by the use of a crystal.. One classic example starts with the recipient lying down. Placing the crystal on a spot that needs attention and working directly around it can produce great results, as you are removing the contributing factors while the crystal is releasing the Reiki energy directly on the spot keeping the flow going. Some recipients have claimed this felt like having two sets of hands working on them. I haven't had that experience in my practice, but I don't doubt it.

One may question why Reiki crystal healing would be necessary when the Reiki energy comes from an unlimited source. The best analogy I can make for this to turn to archery and look at the bow.

The bow is a simple device. It takes strength to pull it all the way back. However, once the bow is drawn, it can release all that energy in a moment. This is a similar effect. If you're planning some big Reiki work, charging stones or crystals with Reiki energy serves a twofold purpose: Not only does it give you extra tools to use, it reminds you of the "feel" of Reiki energy. Having gotten such a warm-up and readied some tools, I find that my Reiki work is much more effective. Using Reiki energy to prepare the environment works just about as well.

By using Reiki crystal healing in this fashion, you can get yourself used to the increased flow of energy and more in touch with the Source from which the energy comes. This exercise is also beneficial for training your perception of subtle energy. The more you develop this sense, the greater success you will have with Reiki work, and energy healing in general.

I find as I advance in my practice, that using crystals isn't really necessary. They were a useful learning tool, but these days it's actually easier for me not to use them. My advice would be to try it out and see what gets the best results for you.
