What is EFT Therapy Good For? Just About Anything! One of the interesting things about EFT therapy is that right from the start, "use it on everything" is the general advice. Seems ambitious and maybe even arrogant at first. The premise is pretty simple. How EFT works, basically, is to get the flow of energy in your system back to normal. Your emotional and energetic systems impact both your physical and mental wellbeing. So, repairs to the energy system are beneficial in a broad range of areas. I have used EFT to remove mental blocks, relieve joint pain and headaches, obliterate false desires, and to help open up to more direct experience of the world. When I say "try it on everything", I'm not kidding; people have (and still do) tried it on just about every issue imaginable. Maxwell Maltz was a cosmetic surgeon. He noted that when an injury was stressed, scarring was the result. He then looked at the mind and found that much the same thing happened. Think about it: You go into work or school, and someone publicly gives you an embarrassing dressing-down. The event itself is bad, but the real damage comes in if you aren't able to let it go. If you keep hanging on to it and stressing about it, it will keep hurting you and keep messing with your thinking process. Here we have to deal with the elephant in the room. The big scary "placebo effect". Sometimes when people are given pills with nothing in them, and told it's medicine, they start feeling better. Modern thinking looks down on the placebo effect. Why? It's not accounted for: You can heal yourself to a large degree (again, don't neglect modern medicine, either. Gotta have balance). Personally, I'm something of a fan of the "placebo effect", but either way I wouldn't worry about it. The only thing that matters is the answer when you ask yourself "does it work for me?" If you had some sort of portable, easily used method for regulating the emotions and letting go of the hurt, you could shrug off the emotional hurt of the event. Then you could consciously decide what corrective action, if any, to take. Fortunately for you, EFT therapy is perfect for this! I have used it for that purpose on multiple occasions with great success, before moving on to a more advanced system. When you decide to learn EFT, I strongly urge you to follow the advice and "try it on everything". You may find greater success than you imagined.
